Today is day 5 of injections. My stomach is fairly bruised, and I have about 5 days to go, but I had a culture and ultrasound done today, and also introduced ganirelix to my menopure and follistim daily ritual. Megan thinks I’ll likely retrieve early, to avoid early ovulation-and I’m assuming discomfort.
The injections are much easier than I expected, but it will never not be weird to have to Inject myself while at work. The follistim I take in the evenings has to be refrigerated, so I keep the meds in the refrigerator at work, hide out in the pantry of the kitchen and get it done as quickly as possible.
It’s hard to believe the retrieval is less than a week away. Although we Are not doing a transfer this month, Megan says my uterus looks great, so hopefully during eri’s cycle I can get it looking just as well. Soon after my retrieval we head to Vegas for my nephews graduation. Once we get back we will like start eri’s journey and get ready for a fresh embryo transfer in July. It’s amazing how quickly this experience is flying by. We could be pregnant so very soon!
